IMOG2013 Abstract submission dedline extended

Dear Colleagues,

First of all let me thank all of you that have sent your contributions to this IMOG edition. More than 400 abstracts have been received so far, distributed in all the broad areas proposed. I can advance now that this will be a great meeting; because of your high quality contributions it will be fruitful in the Sci.Tech side and, as usual in IMOG’s, very joyful (unforgettable if I must said) in the social as well.

Due to the high demand, we decided to extend the abstract submission deadline for one week until Sunday February 8th (Friday).

Please, don’t send your abstract the last minute! A last minute rush has been known to crash the system, so submit your abstract before the new closing date of 8 February in order to avoid frustration.

Remember that you can send your contributions using the on-line submission form at: http://www.imog2013.org/?page_id=90 .

Alternatively, if any difficulty is encountered or just because you prefer, please send your abstract to me attached to an e-mail to jag@irnase.csic.es in editable (doc, docx, rtf) format indicating your preferences for session and presentation mode.
Known problems associated to the on-line submission form are:
The use of symbols and hyphens in the application’s “abstract title” field.
The inclusion of heavy figures within the abstract document
Heavy abstracts over 1.5 Mb
The use of a complex file-name.

Although registration for the IMOG is not open jet, the fees are now published in the web page at: http://www.imog2013.org/?page_id=286. Note that for this edition important discounts will be applied to EAOG/EAGE members, students and retired persons.

Because of the wide and high quality hosting offer in Tenerife, your stay during the congress & beyond will be very convenient.  We are now negotiating special fees for IMOG participants with hotels close to the venue. Just as an advance to mention that the cost per room will range from  66 €/day an apartment in triple occupancy (for 3 persons) to 145 € in a 5* Lux in double occupancy (for 2 persons). Furthermore breakfast & VAT is included in this special IMOG fee!

In the next days our selection of hotels and apartments at IMOG’s reduced rates will be published, all conveniently close to the IMOG venue: http://www.imog2013.org/?page_id=186.

Do not hesitate to tell all your friends and colleagues! We are looking forward to meeting you in Tenerife!
Yours
Jose A. Gonzalez-Perez
