The ICBM, Organic Geochemistry group, is offering a position for a Post-Doc with experience in analytical organic chemistry.

The Institute for Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment ( at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg seeks to fill a position for a Research Associate (E14 TV-L) in the research group Organic Geochemistry at the earliest possible date for a period of three years. The field of duties includes identification and structure elucidation of biogeochemically relevant organic compounds and development and application of methods to trace these compounds in samples from natural marine habitats. Candidates must hold an academic university degree (Master or Diploma) in chemistry, environmental sciences or geosciences or a related discipline and must have done a doctorate in analytical organic chemistry or molecular organic geochemistry. Experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry and coupling of these techniques is required. We are looking for a highly motivated co-worker with initiative, capacity for teamwork and interest in interdisciplinary research.
